Conversation at dinner.
Go-Go: What if you ask for a moon cactus and get a house.
What if you say you're hungry and have to go to school.
What if you ask for food and get hair. (Now I know there is a fly joke in this one somewhere.)
Mom and Dad just weren't getting these, so I pulled out an old knock knock joke. I didn't think Go-Go would fall for it, her Aunt told it to her while she was down here for the wedding. I just went on forever to see...
Mom: Would you know me in a second?
Go-Go: Yes.
Mom: Would you know me in an hour?
Go-Go: Yes.
Mom: (Kept asking if Go-Go would know her. Go-Go kept answering yes.)
Mom: Knock Knock
Go-Go: Who's there?
Mom: You forgot me already?
Then the Little One had to get in on the act. She went, "knock, knock", forever. Someone would say, "Who's there?" and she would give an answer, "Toys, Baby, Mommy, Daddy, Go-Go," but when you'd say, "Toys who?" She'd just burst out laughing. Half the joke formula is better than nothing, I guess.
