MAGIC MAN'S MUSINGS
Inspiration can come at anytime and in any situation. I have often chuckled at the times when an inner voice shows me a truth or gives a bit of insight into life to share. It shows that a sense of humor exists in life and we shouldn't take ourselves so seriously.
This morning as I was walking upstairs to the bathroom, I had an insight that I recognized as a whisper from my guides. It was alive and, like a seed, it wanted to blossom in my heart and mind and be shared with others. The only problem was, I had to use the toilet. So, with inspiration and insight blossoming, there I sat on the toilet. How spiritual that must appear to my guides -- talking to me while I'm on the crapper. I was afraid I might lose the inspiration through the reality of the moment.
Inspiration and insight can and often do happen when you're least expecting it. While the mind is distracted on some duty or idea, it's like a light bulb pops on above you and you know you have to give attention to it. You can feel it's important and true and you wonder where it'll lead you. You know it'll connect you to a place deep inside that recognizes truth and reality. I feel more whole at these times than any other -- except when I'm intimate with Cathy.
These moments feel like they're a part of us. More than random thoughts, they rise from somewhere deep as an extension of our being. We sense this, but we don't know how we do. Our minds can either function as a conduit for the insights or judge them and the connection stops. Wherever mind is working, it is either serving the insights, interpreting them, or analyzing and dissecting them. Too much thought spoils the inspiration and dilutes the energy of the heart as they're revealed.
You never know when inspirations and whispers will come, but you do realize they're meant to be shared. They can be given for you alone, but most likely, they want to be shared as seeds for others to plant in the soil of their existence. It's a joy to receive them and, no matter where I am, I'm glad they come. I'll share them as long as I breathe and my heart beats.
