That's What I Think
3/9/2012 9:58:53 AM    [ Flag as Spam or Inappropriate ]

Oh my gosh! It is Friday.

Not that that means much to me really except that my sweetheart will be with me all weekend! We have lots planned that have to do with chores, parties, and banquets!

The sun has shone here for three straight days. I'm thinking that it is time to buy flowers eh? Spruce up the farm grounds and add some color! It has been quiet here on the farm and the stress level has come down quite a bit. I'm not saying I'm lulled into a false sense of calm, but I'm going to enjoy it as much as I can.

I took a walk yesterday with my dog Kinsey and we enjoyed the quiet of the forest and the sun. I threw her ball for her with one of those fling things. I don't know what you call them, but she gets a lot of running in. sometimes when I walk into the woods alone I feel vulnerable. I can tell that my breathing shifts to my chest where it shouldn't go and walking becomes a bit more of a challenge. I am pushing myself to acclimate to this feeling so that I can enjoy the woods even more. It is a symptom of anxiety when we breathe in our chest. Chest breathing limits the ability to catch that deep satisfying breath, so much so that it then becomes the mission of the anxietee (if you will) to get one as often as possilbe. This leads to hyperventilating and dizziness. SO...if you are walking alone in the woods and this happens, sit down and relax a minute. Tell yourself "I am simply walking and there is nothing to be afriad of". "I appreciate the notice that you might think we are in peril, but we are not. Please do not send me any adrenaline, because I do not need it".

You can do this anywhere...stores, post office line, bus, parties etc.

I wish you all a wonderful Friday and weekend!

Cheers, Karla
