America 20XX: The New World Order

According to our U.S. Constitution: “No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of the Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President.” (Article 2, Section 1)
Freedom is a precious, and possibly fleeting thing. It can be lost in a still moment if its protectors are not vigilant. Few people in the world, since its existence, have had the freedoms given to U.S. citizens under our Constitution. Occasionally, in our past, actions by our government have strayed from the letter and intent of that guiding document. However, that movement has not been too far away from the document’s purpose: to protect freedom and liberty. When actions have strayed too far, it has always been jerked back to compliance by watchful and concerned patriots. However, could total disregard and abandonment of our guiding American principles begin with a single minor omission to comply with our Constitution, or an overlooked falsehood? If we respect our Constitution, and believe in its principles, should we not respect all of it, unless and until a majority of citizens rightfully amend that part which might be offensive to our freedoms?
Another important question is: what is the underlying intent of someone who would be president of the United States knowing he or she is not eligible? Is that not, in itself, a blatant disregard to our Constitution? If that action is a falsehood, how can the intent of further action be trusted?
Most requirements of our Constitution have laws to enforce them. This Article is only a statement without an enforcement mechanism. Would it not be appropriate for state attorneys general to require a valid birth certificate be filed with the state before one’s name may be added to the state’s ballot? Is asking one responsible for protecting our Constitution to comply with that Constitution asking too much? Following is a quote from history for consideration:
