Which Book Next?

I couldn't decide which book to read next - it's a toss up between one of my old favourites - The Grapes of Wrath or Cormack McCarthy's The Road. I have trouble with McCarthy, I didn't like his Blood Meridian and I didn't like his No Country For Old Men - I find he misses out the beginning and end - however I watched the film of the The Road and it was excellent so I thought I would give him another chance. Taking all that into account - I started both books! However I'm going to persevere with The Road - so far so good.
