Counseling?

What is the value of counseling?

Fix this country. We live in terrible times, in a deranged society that perpetuates greed, exploitation, corruption, discrimination, and violence. We value things we can't touch. F*****g counseling is not the answer. Psychotherapy helps approximately one in twenty, but it will not change the preponderance of mental, emotional, and psychologically ill people inhabiting every facet of our world. Counseling didn't cause these problems, and it won't end them. What will bring about peace and understanding, respect, dignity, and pride? What will instill responsibility, genuine caring for others, reverse the apathy we feel every day? I believe the only way to truly change our society is to knock it all down and start over again. But I don't think that will ever happen, at least not in my lifetime, unfortunately. To quote The Groundhogs, "Thank Christ For The Bomb."
