How Do We Lose Touch with Poetry
9/8/2005 9:38:28 PM
Time slips away and before you know it months have passed.
I cannot say why I was gone since June and have not written. Lots of distractions in my life have caused me to forget my writing though now I hope to be back writing like before.
My songs are in the works and they are what keep me reaching for the golden pot which I can see in the distance.
I am affected by all world issues like many poets and writers.
Sadness affects me and then I get back in the swing with my feelings. I come back to the place of solitude and comfort in words. I arrive sometimes with emotions bundled up like packages never opened and then it hits me.
I have my greatest desire to write and am still working on my Masters Degree in Creative Writing. The long road ahead gets closer and closer each month.
I am glad to be back once more...since 2003 I am now working on poem number 202. Thanks for the reviews and inspirations.
