I just saw this video yesterday...
I love to shop Big Lots aka Pic 'n' Save before they changed the name. I came across a video that was made in 1990 about Earth Day. Of course the only reason I picked it up was because Kevin Costner is in it and I've mentioned before he is my favorite actor. But this very clever program has a ton of useful info in it about global warming, what we can do to reduce trash in our world, how we better be doing something right NOW to keep our ozone from depleting. And I got to thinking, man this was made 14 years ago!!! The stuff they were saying then is still going on and at a much worse level than before. I think it's deplorable that a man who is supposed to be leading us, and yes, I am talking about George Bush, has turned his back on efforts others are trying to take to help earth. If we don't do it, we have no planet to survive on. We can't simply pack up our troubles in our old kit bags and move on to Mars!!! Besides that, the Martians wouldn't like us intruding upon their territory. Joking aside, we truly need to teach this world how to take better care of it. I shudder to think what the world of tomorrow will be like for our children of today. End of lesson.
I wrote a song for my pre-schoolers about ecology. Sing to the tune of The Farmer In The Dell....
