RAting the books 12/14/2008 7:53:38 PM Writing the books these days isn't our only job.
Now days an author is expected to market thier own work. If readers want to help the industry of writing, they can.
It's a simple thing, they need to take the time after they buy a book and rate it.
Why you might ask? Well, for one thing, it keeps the publishers more honest, and the distributors too. It also
lets the writer know what you thought of the book.
Even if you don't like a book, you should rate it, so that the writer can either improve their writing, or know that you enjoyed it.
People don't always have time to write in guestbooks, and e-mail an author, that's understandable, so by rating the book, you tell the distributor and publisher whether you liked the book or not. It gives them an idea of whether they should purchase books. It also gives books stores ideas on how hot a book really is. It's your imput to the industry of publishing.
So if you read a book lately, and it had a rating system on it, go rate that book. That way you will be giving
everyone your opinion of the book in a short simple solution. It takes very little time to rate them and the authors are always glad to hear from the readers.
Have a wonderfully Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
