Day 4: NaNoWriMo

Well, I didn't blow anything up in my story, but I did start a fire, and, well, I guess there were some explosions...
I am at Day 4 and feeling like I'm losing some steam. I heard the first week was like a Honeymoon, and for me to be hobbling along on Day 4, trying to make my wordcount goals for the day has me worried. But I am still in it, and still plotting on. I have about 1,000 more words to write today, and feeling exhausted. But I will do it.
I feel like this first draft, and the process of shutting my internal editor away in the closet (in a nice hotel room in Tokyo) has resulted in more words being written, but I wonder if they are "good" words, "good" writing. I know that's my internal editor, calling overseas, but it has me feeling like this first draft is a skeleton of what it could be...and I don't like that feeling. My normal process of writing is to write a scene, then re-write it until it gleams. I'm not doing that here, and it's different. But the goal is 50,000 words in one month, a first draft (and it can be a "shitty first draft", or "SFD" as Anne Lamott calls it.
I just have to get through today, and then tomorrow, and then the next day. I have to look at it as meeting my daily goal of 1725 words, and NOT 50,000 words.
My total so far is 5,842 words.
