Sensation, Perception, Conception
A simple sensation comprises the two-fold mechanical action of stimulus-response. Raw sensate data becomes conscious sense-experience when rudimentary judgments on sense data ensue as perceptions. Therefore perception comprises sensation and snap-judgment, and tends to become habitual when reinforced. Conception implies the intentional presentation of an abstract idea to an imagined other-self. That is, a concept is an object of directed thought.
