Random Thought
We all love shoes, okay, mostly woman, but men must too, I have seen them with shoes! Don’t you hate when you buy the perfect looking pair and they hurt your feet? You suffer through the day and cannot wait to take them off. Imagine if you were forever stuck in that uncomfortable pair of shoes. The next time you think your neighbor or co-worker has the perfect life and perfect job, try on their shoes. I know this may sound like such an old saying, but I have found that by doing this when someone upsets me it puts me in better control or my anger and allows me to really see that person, rather than one action or reaction. For example, say that the check out girl at the grocery store is rude today when you run in for milk and bread. Instead of getting upset with her realize that the customer before you may have been extremely rude and swore at her for no reason or that she is a single mother that is working when she wishes she was home with her sick child but knows if she doesn’t work today she can’t buy food. Wear the shoes of that man that suddenly cut you off in traffic, instead of making a nice hand gesture think that maybe he just got a call that his wife was rushed to the hospital or his son has been killed protecting your freedoms. Just try on the shoes, you can take them right off, but by making the effort to walk in another’s shoes you will be much nicer in general and you won’t jump to judge that person for that one action that has irritated you today. Trust me, I have been wearing others shoes for years now and it makes me grateful to return to my own.
