Life's an Adventure...
I have been asked many times if I was Native American. No, I am not Native American. Though many of my parents teachings are in accordance to Native American beliefs, I was raised as a Catholic. I was not raised to have religious beliefs but to have spiritual beliefs. I believe in my heart there is a vast difference between the two.
I was a patriot before patriatism was cool. My father is a Pearl Harbor survivor and taught me that this is the greatest country in the world and it is our country. There will be times when you don't agree with the decisions of this country's leaders, but right or wrong it is ours, take care of it and love it. If you don't like something quit moaning about it and fix it. (He was also a firefighter when I was a small child.)
I live life with my eyes wide open and accept people for who they are not what they are. If there is humor to be found I will find it. I also have an unquenchable desire to learn, right along with my unwavering ability to find the positive side of any given situation.
Ancestry research is one of my passions. My ancestry is Portuguese on my father's side and Irish, Scot and Canadian on my mother's side. Though Central Florida is where I call home now (yes I did go through all the hurricanes) I was born and raised in Newport, RI. a beautiful town I miss dearly.
