Go Flames Go

I don't watch hockey much. No that's not true, I watch it all the time but not first person. I watch it through my husband. It might seem cliche, it's about the only thing in my life that is but I don't give a rat's ass about hockey. . .now the Flames are in the playoffs and I'm a little excited about it, go figure.
I think it's because it makes other people, most people here, happy for awhile. Gives them something to cheer about that isn't too serious. If the Flames lose, nobody is going to die, at least, we hope not. If they win we can party for awhile. Yippee!!!
Sure some people get outta hand, use things like this to party hardy and go on a three week (or two month) bender but for the most part it's just fun. Normally I don't think Calgary is all that much fun so I must say, this is a welcomed change.
So I'm just going to say thanks to the players for giving us a little boast while the snow still flies here (in the middle of May) and it feels like we should just have Xmas all over again to break up the monotany of our nine month winters. Thanks for giving us something to cheer about. Even us (usually) hockey free people can jump on this band wagon and join in to give you the support you need to feel important in the world.
GO FLAMES GO!!!!!!!
