today, tomorrow, and poof!

time is so fleeting.
Today is so fleeting; it seems but a breath of time. Heck, even the weeks, the seasons and the years
fly past at a dizzying pace faster than I would ever have imagined when I was young!
Life as it winds down has a Coriolis Effect spinning around faster and faster as it drops
into the abyss. As a child the wait for the weekend took FOREVER.. In my sixth decade on earth weekends are so brief they feel nearly non-existent. Bits of time spent doing stuff that never seems to fit in that tiny framework of day and night.
Why is that I want to know? Why now when I am wiser, more financially able and have fewer obligations does it seem I am always short of time. I do move slower (likely problem), but, maybe time is our friend moving slower when we have so much to learn, faster when the aches and discomforts of age beginning to creep up on us, trying to spare us the agony of old age its diseases and limitations. I wish I had more long days to go fishing, to play with grandkids, and kittens and puppies. Dear God shorten if you must the bad things using time, but give us the illusion of an eternity with those we love and those things that give us a smile.
