It's snowing!

Call out the National Guard--they can't handle it here.
One of the things I miss about my home state of Ohio is, it snows when it's supposed to. When I was a child I could always count on some snow between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It was so beautiful and all of the neighborhood kids would come out and build snowmen and have snowball fights---all in the name of fun.
But here in NC, snow is a rare occurrence. It's almost like living in the tropics all year long. Even when it's 40 or 50 degrees here, that to me, is a nice day---although I see people walking around with heavy jackets like they're freezing too death! Now, some of my girlfriends might argue I'm hot all the time--doesn't matter what the temperature is---but i guess that what a hot flash will do for you :)
But today when I woke up to get ready to take my daughter to school, I looked outside and saw the most beautiful snow. Mind you, it wasn't much...just enough to cover the grass and the trees and it was glistening! It certainly wasn't enough to shut down the entire city but that's just what happened. That's because officials here are never adequately prepared for snow and drivers aren't either.
But nonetheless, it's still a beautiful day and it's given me an opportunity to spend a weekday with my daughter so I'm off the computer to enjoy this time.
Thank you God for creating the seasons--and taking me back down memory lane with the SNOW.
