Some people email me and ask me to share with them what I eat. I have diabetes I thought I would write it out on my blog here at Authorsden. I write everything I eat most days, but lost some of the days so this is starting February 1 2009

Sharing daily menu low carb to keep my blood sugar down.

February 1, 2009
Blood Sugar 87

I eat a lot today was hungry and watched the supper bowl
Lost track of calories but counted carbs daily carbs 70
Calories must be around 2500. I had lots of snacks pepperoni, cheeses and hamburger patty’s two one at noon and one for dinner no bread. 12 cashews and some pumpkin seeds. Mainly had meat and cheese had a carb well balance bar and one of the low carb blue bunny ice cream.
At 6:40pm my blood sugar was 100 that was 2 hours after eating the patty and cashews so I guess that is good so I will see what it says tomorrow morning to know for sure.

Blood Sugar 93

I am trying the Dr Bernsteins way of eating, which is having 6 carbs for breakfast and 12 carbs for lunch and 12 carbs for dinner. If having a snack, have one snack of 12 carbs or less or have two snacks of 6 carbs or less each. Snack.. I plan to stick to this way of eating for a month or more to see if it makes my sugars go lower or stay the same.

Breakfast
Egg white omelet 4 carbs w/1 oz of pepperoni, cheddar cheese, with tsp of avocado 2 carbs, total calories 310, total carbs 6
Snack
Half of a carb well balance bar, calories 95, carbs 11
Lunch
Tofu noodles carbs 6, w/ 2 oz pepperoni 0 carbs, 1 oz of cheddar cheese, 0 carbs and once slice of mozzarella cheese 0 carbs, w/ 2 tbsp of cream cheese garlic 2 carbs. Salad of tomatoes 2 carb and lettuce 1 carb, with olive oil and vinegar, calories total 580, total carbs 11
Sugar free coffee hard candy 3 carbs
Dinner
Salad broccoli slaw, 4 carbs, lettuce 2 carb, tbsp of sun flower seeds 2 carbs, w/ Pepperoni 0 carbs, w/ square of cream cheese onion flavored 2 carb, olive oil and vinegar 0 carbs, total calories 450, total carbs 10.
Total daily calories 1,435, total daily carbs 41.

February 3, 2009
Blood Sugar 83

Breakfast
Atkins Advantage Vanilla shake, calories 150 carbs 2
Snack
Sugar free coffee hard candy 3 carbs, calories 8
Lunch
Chicken 4 oz no skin calories 200, w/Salad, tomatoes 1 carb and lettuce 2 carb slice of mozzarella cheese, calories 50, 0 carbs, 1 tbsp of sunflower seeds calories 45 carbs 2, pepperoni 0 carbs calories 195. Kens Caesar dressing no carb calories 120, 10 cashews calories 85 carbs 5. Total calories 695, total carbs 10
Snack
12 almonds calories 93, carbs 3
Dinner
Chicken 6oz no skin calories 300, no carbs, Salad lettuce 2 carb, tomato 1 carbs, parmesan cheese calories 60 carbs 0, w/ 2 slices of mozzarella cheese, calories 100, 0 carbs, olive oil and vinegar calories 120, carbs 0.W/ wasa fiber cracker calories 35,
carbs 8. 1 square of cream cheese onion flavored calories 35, 1 carb. Total calories 650, total carbs 12.
Total daily calories 1,596, total daily carbs 30

February 4, 2009

Breakfast
Egg white omelet w/ 2 oz chicken no skin and cream cheese garlic
Calories 430, carbs 6
Snack
¼ cup of pumpkin seeds, calories 170, carbs 4,one square of cream cheese onion flavored, calories 35 carbs 1
Lunch
Hamburger patty w/ cheese, lettuce and tomato and onion. Calories 240 carbs 4
Snack
Atkins Advantage Vanilla shake, calories 150 carbs 2
Dinner
Chicken breast 2 oz no skin w/ Tofu noodle and Garlic cream cheese sauce, w/ sliced tomato and lettuce salad, w/ Kens Caesar dressing no carb calories 160, Calories 480, carbs 12
Total daily calories 1,505, total daily carbs 29

February 5, 2009
Blood Sugar 90

Breakfast
Burger patty 4oz calories 200, w/ 1 oz cheddar cheese, w/ lettuce and tomato, pickle, total carbs 4, total calories 310
Snack
1 Cream cycle pop sugar free calories 20 carbs 5
Lunch
4 oz ground beef, w/ dreamfield pasta 2 oz 5 carbs calories 190, Trader Joes tomato sauce low carb 5 carbs half cup, calories 90 a half cup, total calories 410, total carbs 10
Snack
Pumpkin seeds calories cheddar cheese, 370 carbs 6
Dinner
Salad, lettuce, tofu noodles, garlic cream cheese, w/ kens Cesar dressing no carbs, total carbs 8, total calories 560.
Total daily calories 1,670, total daily carbs 33
