The faster I go, the behinder I get...
Hello Gentle Readers!
Just like the title says, I always seem to be behind, running like a mad woman trying to catch up. I really try not to be late for work, oversleep in the morning, get my housework done, and get things finished on time, but it's often an almost impossible job.
For instance. I have two very big workshops coming up, possibly three...Am I ready for them you ask? Not a bit.
I also have a book that is about 100 pages from being finished that I can't seem to get back to. I have at least two more proposal ideas I need to finish and they are languishing on my hard drive...
And that's just the writing stuff.
Let's not mention housework. Let's just say, if the health department comes in here, it ain't gonna be pretty.
So, what did I do today? Sleep in? Spend all day in bed eating bonbons and watching reruns of As The World Turns? (Huh? Is that even still on?)
No. I jumped out of bed at 6, showered, ate, ran my kids to school, picked up my mom, took her to her doctors appointment, went and spent two hours in CPR class, and then came home, ate lunch and updated my webpage.(www.pamlabud, in case you're interested, he! he!)
In about half an hour I've got to pick up the kids, take them to an afternoon movie because my daughter's best friend is only in town for the day, bring them home, cook supper, (or rather heat t.v. dinners in the micro) help them with homework and finish the laundry. Then, it'll be after ten. I'll be too exhausted to write but I'll probably still putter around at the computer until midnight.
Tomorrow? I've got to spend all day at the school fulfilling my Parent Involvement hours serving hot dogs at a track meet. Oh, yeah. I've got tons of time.
Thursday, it'll be time to go back to work. I work the whole weekend and next week, Monday and Tuesday will be my two day Advanced Cardiac Life Support recertification. And the beat goes on...
Yet, for the most part, I'm happy to do it. I know this is probably the busiest time of life, with kids at home, a husband, and job obligations. Most of the time I thrive on this stuff.
I sometimes feel like I'll never get caught up. Still, I don't think I'd have it any other way.
HAPPY EASTER to everyone who celebrates it! I hope the furry guy brings you lots of candy and colorful eggs. Enjoy! Take care, Pam.
