It must be because I have an older brain. I just can't get into those sci/fi fantasy movies like I used to. ALSO I CAN'T BELIEVE CUBAN MAY BE BUYING MY CUBS
It's just wierd and strange how like when you're like a kid or like a young teenager you just can't wait to see the next big blockbuster horror, scifi, or fantasy type movie. I loved even seeing those 50s B movies that they would show on a Friday or Saturday night where giant flying man eating birds and moths would attack the Earth. My two favorite movies as a kid were 'Jurassic Park' and that 'dragon movie' they made a while back where a big dragon with Sean Connery's voice flew around to help mankind. (I just loved seeing a dragon talk with a Scottish accent.}
Anyways it's over a decade later and now I'm in in my mid twenties and finished with school and struggling at a tough job working as a waitress and competing with everyone and their brother and sister to land any kind of an acting role.....and you're barely getting by with these stupid gas and food prices going thru the roof and trying to pay the sky high rents out here in LA....and some nosy people are asking why aren't you looking around for a saerious 'significant other'........well as you can see your brain kind of changes and now instead of fantasy and Scifi movies you start liking movies with 'adult themes' where a lot of men like sit around in a hot New York apartment making silly jokes or sitting in a plain looking jury room discussing wether the defendant should be executed or be giving a life sentence. The only props or special effects you see is a table and a bunch of chairs.
I'm sorry now that I'm older I actually would enjoy seeing two movies that I would never see as a kid, 'The Odd Couple' and 'Twelve Angry Men' where all you see is a bunch of men sitting around talking, over movies like 'Star Wars,' 'Jurassic Park,' or 'The Dark Knight,' where you see all kinds of things flying around and being blown up. NOW THAT I HAVE AN OLDER BRAIN I AM INTERESTED IN SEEING MOVIES WITH GOOD ACTING, ACTING.
Omigosh a Cuban is gonna by my favorite team. Mark Cuban that is. I wonder if he smokes Cuban cigars? If he buys the team will he run out of his luxury box seat onto the field complaining a call to an ump? Face it sometimes he's the most entertaining person to watch at a Mavs game.
8 MILLION GOOGLE HITS FOR 'FIFI' BUT LESS THAN 300 HITS FOR ME? FIFI LAROUCHE. ELLEN PAGE HAS LIKE SIX MILLION HITS AND THAT AMATEUR SINGER AVRIL LAVIGNE WHO'S YOUNGER THAN ME AND IS ALSO PART FRENCH HAS 30 MILLION HITS? SOMETHING WRONG ABOUT THAT. AND WHY AM I BEHIND THAT DISGUSTING SKUNK FIFI LE FUME OR THE 'FIFI' PERFUME AWARDS OR 'FIFI' THE SOCCER LEAGUE OR SOME ACTRESS I NEVER HEARD OF NAMED FIFI ABDOU? I NEED TO TALK TO THOSE GOOGLE PEOPLE. WHEN I MAKE IT BIG. I DOUBT IF I WILL MAKE ANY BIG DONATIONS TO GOOGLE.
Face it even in this day of high tech gadgets and widgets at times there's no way you can replace a human being's brain. My truck was at the garage and I had to pick it up yesterday. So since Marissa was at work I took the bus to get to the garage. I tried getting the bus schedule at the MTA website. GRRRRRRRR that website kept on giving me misguided information, like the wrong times... So I called customer service and the lady gave me the right schedule after about 5 minutes. Brains over microchips. The only problem is you'll see fewer and fewer customer care people in the future because an automated system is 'cheaper' than paying annuall wages and benefits to a real person.
You older people remember H R Pufnstuft and Lidsville? They had a good article in the local rag today about their creators, Krofts brothers. If Pufnstuft and all those creatures and things made it big why can't I?
OOOOOOOOOOhhhhhh Stinky stinky stinko double Os movie of the week. 'Stepbrothers' Can Will Ferrell make a movie where he doesn't act like a 12 year old. But then the film was packed with genyers, packed with genyers. FIFI OLD GIRL IF YOU WANT TO MAKE THE BIG BUCKS IN HOLLYWOOD SPECIAL EFFECTS AND TOILET HUMOR IS THE WAY TO GO TODAY. NOT WELL MADE ARTSY FILMS WHERE YOU SEE 10 OR 12 PEOPLE IN THE WHOLE THEATER. I GUESS THE BIG NAME BIG BUCKS HOLLYWOOD STARS SAY WINNING AN OSCAR WILL NOT PAY MY BILLS BUT STARRING IN A BIG BUDGET/TOILET HUMOR/ACTION FLICK WILL SET ME UP FOR LIFE.
Speaking set me up for life, not much going on in the SAG talks for us struggling rank and file actors. More than enough thoughts for now.
