I'VE GOT TO FIX MY 'HOARDING PROBLEM'
One of my favorite TV shows of the 00s, actually one of the VERY FEW GOOD SHOWS OF THE NEW MILLENIUM, a reality show called 'Clean House', that deals with these people who help people who have like 'hoarding problems', junk here junk there junk everywhere. You see these people's places and you think they need wings to fly over all their junk so they can like you know go to the bathroom.
Well I shouldn't talk, I shouldn't talk, I believe I have got a bit of a 'hoarding problem.' My bedroom is a little bit filthy, clothes all over the place, papers all scattered over my desk, of course the rest of the apartment is immaculate because Marissa my roommate is an incredible 'neat freak.' It must be my right brain, my right cerebrum that's always daydreaming because I'm an actress and you know actresses are just so creative and their always daydreaming about a perfect role that will impress those stuck up casting directors.
ANYWAYS because I'm a little absent minded I'll ignore being tidy and my bedroom or the cab of my pickup truck will look like Fred Sanford's junk house. But that's changing, I'm gonna learn to be more of a neat freak, not quite like Marissa but close. When I get junk mail I'll toss it out. I'm gonna make sure to put all loose clothes in the hamper. That '85 World Champion Bears T shirt that father got me for my sixteenth birthday, well it's nearly ten years old and I may think about taking to the Goodwill. I just need to get rid of some old stuff even though I may have a sentimentality for that old stuff.
Another reason I need to clean the inside of my truck is that our apartment complex just had another breakin and the fella whose car was broken into it had a lot of stuff in it. The guy just said that the thieves just broke the rear window but didn't take anything because well the fella was like me a hoarder and nothing but junk in the car so the thieves didn't take anything. However he did have to pay like 200 bucks to get his window fixed.
This darn LA has so much crime, there's no place where it's really safe, maybe we can say that pretty living anywhere in the US, but at least in most of Iowa you can feel kinda safe walking the streets at night or parking your car with the door unlocked.
Speaking of terrible crimes one nightmare came to end with last night's execution of John Mohammed, the Beltway Sniper, but sadly a nightmare has just begun with the terrible tragedies that occurred at Fort Hood last week. I just don't understand people sometimes, how they can't control their amygdalas, their limbic brains. I believe some of this nonsense that has been going on recently is becasue we see fewer and fewer people who are deeply religious. I certainly am and I know their is a powerful Lord or Lords who will one day judge us by everything we did when we lived on this planet.
Speaking of living on this Earth, my two alien scientist friends Alocki and Helos who say they're from a planet that orbits Alpha Centauri tells me that before they left Zatoris they met people who say they came from a 'rocky planet'that orbits the star Sol, you know our Sun. Hmmmmmmmm I wonder what the name of that planet is? I'm so.......darn upset....that there are some Earthlings who know how to astral travel and can visit these other planets but won't share their secrets. I need to visit a planet where people can sit under a green not a dead tree and meditate all the time and you don't wait in a ten mile long line to get anything and I can breathe fresh air and the air doesn't smell like gasoline and there's no global warming so it doesn't feel like it's a hundred degrees in November like it felt last week. Alocki and Helos keep on telling me their gonna show me how to get their planet one of these days but they always say they're too busy, they're too busy......
Old songs.....I like that 'Sesame Street' song....That show just turned 40...Big Bird and Elmo are 40 years old....I also love that song from that other popular kid's show that started in the early 70s, 'The Electric Company.' If you people ever buy the DVDs or watch it on youtube you'll see a real young Morgan Freeman in The Electric Company. Omigosh I was listening to a couple of really old songs on that LA oldies station while driving my truck and when I came back immeditely downloaded them into my Ipod from my laptop. "Put a little love in your Heart" by Jackie Deshannon and "Rockin Robin" by the late Bobby Day. A couple of real oldies but they're so much better than anything you hear today. Father also remember hearing those songs in his youth and agrees with me........ 'Bimbos' getting all then breaks in these 'vampire shows' or 'reality shows' like 'The Hills' and here I am still struggling, still struggling....
We are a planet of 'jugglers' that is entertainers, especially the good old USA, A LAND FULL OF ENTERTAINERS. That's why it's a hundred times harder to make it as an entertainer today than even 25 years ago when Michael Jackson was in his prime or a thousand times harder to make it as an entertainer 50 years ago when the Beatles and Elvis were around. They didn't have the intenet back in those days and while THE ENTERTAINMENT GETS YOU MORE ACCESS TO MORE PEOPLE IT ALSO GETS MORE PEOPLE TO SELL OR ADVERTISE THEIR THINGS OR 'THEIR TALENT' THUS MORE COMPETITION MORE COMPETITION. YEA THERE'S SIX BILLION PEOPLE BUT THERE'S ALSO SIXTY BILLION WEB SITES ON THE INTERNET.
I trulytrulytrulytrulytruly feel it's MORE EASIER TO CLIMB MOUNT EVEREST WALKING UPSIDE DOWN ON MY HANDS AND THEN WHEN I GET TO THE TOP SOMEONE CALLS ME ON MY CELL PHONE AND TELLS ME THAT I JUST WON THE BIG LOTTERY PLUS AT THE SAME TIME A BOLT OF LIGHTNING WHIZZING BY ME THAN MAKING IT AS ENTERTAINER TODAY. REMEMBER YOU PEOPLE WHO WANT TO MAKE IT IN ENTERTAINMENT OR 'THE ARTS' THE OLD SAYING 'IT'S NOT WHAT YOU KNOW BUT WHO YOU KNOW' REALLY MEANS SOMETHING IN TODAY'S DOG EAT DOG WORLD.
I wonder what will be the harder feat? The Hawkeyes who just choked last week against Northwestern winning the BCS, the Cubs winning the World Series, or me making it to the top in Hollywood, all near impossible feats, meanwhile the Yankees just won another one, the thing is the Cubs spend money on free agents trying to win but the Cubs always seem to get coal while the Yankees always get diamonds, more than enough thoughts for now..........
