Rainin' on the bloggin' trail!

Yup, a good old fashioned rainy day! Remember those???
Hello All,
Guess I won't be out on the bloggin' trail today. Rain, rain, and more rain!! I welcome the rain as it is lifting that hot humidity. The past week has been some hot let me tell you! Also, when one looks out at the beautiful colors of nature being showered, well it's worth it! The green leaves look so much more green, almost alive with such energy. The droplets of rain dangles on the edge of the leaves, almost acting as if they are teasing.
Now the only thing that we need to be concerned about is the "Tent Catapillars." It seems they have re-surfaced this year. They say every 7 years we get an infestation of these little crawly creatures. Why the one year, I literally watched as the plum tree was being eaten away. Within a few days it was barren of all leaves! That was so sad to see, this magnificant tree left to stand with branches empty of all it's wonder. How is it that these masses of Tent Catapillars can become such a destructive species? They are soooooooo fuzzy!! When I was small I used to love playing with the little creatures, but now, heck there are just way too many. Often you see people ducking from under trees, trying to avoid them from falling on their bodies!!
I'll have to watch myself now.........don't want all the catapillers coming home with me from on the bloggin' trail....until then...................later all!
