A Damp Day on the Bloggin' Trail

Yes, I ventured out to see what Mother Nature had to offer now after the heat and rain!
Hi All,
Welcome to the weekend!! I bet it is a wonderful welcome to some of you bloggers, afterall now you will be able to do what you like to do best........writing!!!!!
It's been and up and down week here weather wise. Also, there was a lot of catching up to do this way. I see my den mail stacking up. Oh, how I wish there were 24 hrs daylight then the 8 for sleep time! That would be a super long day for some, so I suppose I shouldn't wish for such long days, but sheesh, there's soooooooo much to do.
I decided to head on down the bloggin' trail this morning. It was rather cool and damp however I just needed to clear my head of all thoughts. Yes, Mother Nature has a wonderful way of allowing us to set free all our thoughts and truly enjoy our surroundings. The trail was nice and quiet. I was able to listen to the serenade from the birds of the wild. Wonderful music to the ears. The odd time I would hear a crow. I suppose he just wanted to be a participant of nature's choir. The sweetest sound to me is the mourning doves. So gentle is their tune. They don't need to blast out like some of the others, their roll in the choir is a real delight to one's ear. I often wonder if they could be interpreted as the gentle humans of this world.
As I walked further down the trail I stumbled across an area that was in shambles. There were broken branches everywhere and the grass was flattened down. At first I thought I had entered into bear territory as they are known to come a callin' on the trail, but much to my demise I noticed beer bottles and garbage piled in a corner half hidden to walkers. I can understand the youth wanting to have good times in this short span of their lives, what I find disheartening is the litter they leave behind. Some of the beer bottles were broken. An unsuspecting creature of the woods could easily get hurt by this lack of consideration. Not only that, many families enjoy the trails and with young children you can bet there will be injuries.
Luckily, I had a small bag in my coat pocket and I scooped up what I could. I wanted to give back to nature the glory of its beauty that we are able to enjoy each day. Let's hope this is not a continuation of what is to happen on the bloggin' trail. For now I will chalk it up to bored young ones, the summer is coming to a close and soon they will return to school. I can only say, it will not be soon enough for those of us who so enjoy the walks. Well, I best get that pile of work done and start reviewing. So, until the next time........see you on the bloggin' trail and oh, don't forget to bring a bag and some gloves, just in case!! Have a great day all!
