The Dog on the Bloggin' Trail

I decided to take the dog on one of my walks through the woods. This is the result........
Hi All,
A different twist here on the bloggin' trail. You see I decided I would take the family dog on a trip down the trail. She was all excited, jumping up and down when she took note of the dog rope. She began to squeal with delight much to the chagrine of the cat's ears! After getting her settled down we started walking down the road. Ohhhhh, did she EVER think she was something! Her tail was up and she was just a struttin' like she was the queen of the community. I did have to giggle as she has these long skinny legs and her backside looks like a "Deers butt." That's as plain as it gets. No other way to explain this picture.
Anyway, the long, thick branches stood there, beckoning us to enter. Ohhhhhhh.......the dog had other thoughts. She was not going to enter into the unknown! Not her.....she preferred walking on the gravel down the side of the road. After some cajoling I managed to coax her onto the bloggin' trail. Well, if this is God's land then the dog just doesn't see it that way!! She was scared to turn and go up the path into the beauty that nature offers. Instead, that tail soon went between her legs and she cautiously took one step at a time on the beaten down path. I tried in vain to talk sweet talk to her, walk ahead even, just so she would know it was safe. But, ohhhhhhhh no way was she going to be fooled into believing this was a place for her. She dragged me back down the path and headed straight back onto to the side of the road. By this time I was plumb tuckered out trying to hold her. We walked on home together and it was not soon enough for her.
My thoughts as to why such a re-action to the bloggin' trail was that there may have been the scent of bears nearby. You see just the other night someone mentioned a bear lumbering down the street toward the garbage left out in a bin. The bear took it upon itself to sit and enjoy it's spoils. So, I suppose I won't be taking the dog down the bloggin' trail anytime soon. It'll be me, nature and the good Lord spendin' a bit of quality time together before headin' out to the rat race. Perhaps I'll bring my sketch book or my note book, get inspired by the beauty of my surroundings. Who knows maybe I'll meet you on the bloggin' trail. Just do me a favor please, and let me know if there are any bears sauntering down my way.. Until then.............see you on the bloggin' trail!
