The days of whine and wet noses.

Happy Sunday.
I had an idea pop into my head yesterday about animals and wondering what they would say if we could understand them. So following an extended period of analysis and deep meditation lasting all of two minutes I decided to write a short story. That "short" story now stands at two pieces with more to come. Check it out on the Story page, "The Papillion Conspiracy Tapes". Hopefully I can wrap it up with one more before it becomes long enough for a full-length movie.
Writing this silly stuff about our dogs reminded me of something about my writing. When I have an idea and it comes together I can write and write and write. I become almost obsessed to add more and more. Usually, particularly with poetry, I get an idea, write a couple of lines then go brain dead, sometimes to return and finish a piece, sometimes it goes in the pile "to finish later." I just thought that was interesting.
You may all go back to sleep now. May the April fool miss your house entirely.
