Hi there fellow Denners!
I managed to aquire and agent just before Xmas on the basis of my horror novel. I wrote like a mad woman to get it finished and edited all eager to find that elusive publisher who would fall upon my masterpiece with slavering tongue and open cheque book.
Ha ha. I'm still waiting. My agent said this is the difficult part, waiting. She isn't wrong. Everyday, I check my emails and everyday I'm disappointed. I'm beginning to have a sneaky suspicion that I'm never going to find a publisher, that I'll have to publish it myself. My ego is fragile enough without knowing that no one likes my book. Granted its not a literary masterpiece but please put me out of my misery publishers. Publish it for a pittance, for free even but please publish it!
Okay, rant over. Onto my next book...
seriously, anyone know how I feel?.....
