View from my 6th floor balcony

Rain this morning, more rain this afternoon, then more rain tomorrow. With rain being forecast for the next two days it made me think that we shouldn't let a little rain keep us from our daily rounds, after all, we are of hearty stock, ready to face any challenge, well amost any challenge.
Today the busses will run on a Sunday schedule, so, Marge and I will leave here at 11:28am, then go to Powell's Books, to browse, and maybe buy... Marge is one of the friends that helped me while I was sick, she is totally cool.
My new tradition of having a guest for dinner turned out quite well. I call it Sunday at 6, has a nice but subtle poetic flow to it.
Dinner consisted of:
Browned and braised chicken breasts, soaked in a pan with spices including, cumen, chili powder, mustard, lemon pepper and about 3 cups of chicken broth.
Cook low and slow, watch the liquid as it will evaporate.
I boiled about two cups of whole wheat penne to an al dente condition, also I added a tablespoon of butter, a small amount of salt and about a teaspoon of Rosemary. When the penne was cooked, I added it to the chicken and let it simmmer for another few minutes.
The fragrance of the spices was superb.
Dinner was capped off with a bowl of sorbet, again, superb.
Now I have to figure out what to do about dinner tonight. I think I'll step out on the balcony to see if something inspires me.
