HO-HO-HO! Christmas Contest From My Publisher of SACRIFICE 12/15/2004 5:39:53 PM There is no entry fee for this contest, and some cool little prizes are going to be given away, so I both invite and encourage y'all to participate. I am posting copies of details here, a more artistic replica of which can be found on my website (www.maceyshouseofhorror.com) on the contest page (www.maceyshouseofhorror.com/m_041.htm). This year, Amber Quill Press", the publisher of my novel SACRIFICE", is sponsoring a "Naughty-Nice" contest in which select authors, myself included, are participating. There are two wings of the contest, a "Nice" wing and a "Naughty" wing; I'm participating in the "Naughty" segment as my book and website are considered too adult for all audiences. The "Nice" wing is open to all members of the public, while anyone participating in the "Naughty" wing should be 18 years or older or have parental permission. There is no entry fee for either contest.
From what I understand, the only differences between the "Naughty" and "Nice" contests are the reading content and types of prizes given away, being that in the former, all reading material and prizes MAY NOT be appropriate for ALL audiences. Other than that, the object of each contest is the same. Participating authors each are hiding a "Naughty" or "Nice" contest graphic within their websites. Contest participants are to go on a scavenger hunt of sorts and find the pages where the graphics are planted, then list the page addresses on a form provided by AQP. If you find them all, your name goes into a drawing for a bunch of prizes that will be sent to you by us, the authors. I'm sure you can go ahead and get a head start if you like, but the contest doesn't officially open until Dec. 19th. This means that some listed participating authors may not have the graphics on their site until then.
The Naughty-Nice Contest closes New Year's Eve. You can find more details, along with a copy of the "Naughty" graphic contest participants are to look" for, the participating authors and sites, and the electronic contest form, at this link: http://amberquill.com/NaughtyNice_Naughty.html) For those of you who want to participate in the "Nice" contest, too, this is the link for that wing of the contest: http://amberquill.com/NaughtyNice_Nice.html".
For your convenience, I'm posting a copy of the "Naughty" rules on the AQP site here.
By the way, my own naughty graphic is already hidden within "Macey's House of Horror, if you want to go ahead and start searching for it.
