Soulmates: Soul Mates

... there is a difference.
How do I know if I've met my soulmate?
This is something I've been wondering about for some time, especially since meeting Robert. We have this uncanny, rare connection on nearly every level, something neither of us has ever experienced before. I know there are others who wonder the same thing -- I know, because I've heard them talk about it.
Well, I had an opportunity to ask Dinahh that question. Uncharacteristically, he got rather surly with me, like I was a wayward child asking the dumbest question he had ever heard. Oh, Dinahh explained to me what a soulmate is, but first he admonished me by saying he was surprised not only by me, but by the number of other humans who believe finding a soulmate is the ultimate of all loving relationships. He said we waste our whole lives searching for a soulmate, instead of what we should be doing -- learning, evolving, living in the now, remembering where we came from, and becoming more aware of our purpose in the universe. Only when we are doing this, will love find us. Instead of a soul mate, the real love partner is a twin soul. I asked Dinahh what a twin soul is. He explained it to me, but that will have to be in another blog, because the explanation is long.
Dinahh: "Catherine, souls do not have only one soul mate. When your soul was born, it was created and formed within an entire group of souls. All of the souls in this group are your soul mates. These are the souls that are the closest to yours in their spiritual makeup.
Each of these souls incarnates over and over, like yours has done, gathering human experience in each lifetime, and teaching, creating, and helping other souls to become more aware. Over these lifetimes, you will meet up with other souls (mates) from your group many, many times. There will be a deep, lasting love between you and on some level you will easily recognize the spiritual bond you share."
Me: "Is this why sometimes I have this strange feeling that I've known someone all my life, when I've only just met them?"
Dinahh: "Yes, Catherine. Open your heart now. Listen and hear. When soulmates meet in an incarnation, there is something for one or the other, or even both souls to learn from the relationship. It could be a lesson to be learned from one to the other. It could be to help both grow and to further evolve. It is also possible they will meet only to lessen bad karma between them, carried here from a past life. This is important, too.
You and your soul mates will share many experiences and lifetimes and in various relationships. You might be lovers, or related as parent to child, or you might meet again as siblings or best friends. These relationships are designed to help each soul grow spiritually and to help each soul to further evolve on their own path of awareness.
You and Robert are each on your own spiritual paths, and your souls have met many times in many lifetimes. Do not be confused by the soul mate issue. You humans are not looking for one soul mate to complete you. Each of you is a twin flame, part of one soul that was split into two halves, a male and female half. You and Robert are twin souls who may or may not be in their last lifetime together. You now have the chance to fulfill your purpose together, what you agreed to before you came to this lifetime -- to teach, and create together, or you can choose to come home again, when it is your time. The choice, like all choices, is up to you. All is as it should be.
Oh Catherine, there is so much for you to learn. This is all I have to say and I will go now."
