Across the Sea of Madness: poetry booklet and CD to be published

1>. RECORDING VOCAL SONGS:

For the sake of the few writer friends here at AD who I cherish and have been very supportive of me, here’s my “5 month plan” [Hopefully in less time than that!] The response was so overwhelmingly positive to my song lyrics I have renewed my recording efforts of my vocal songs and have already risen above my own expectations. 2 of my vocal songs are already recorded and mixed ready to burn to CD: complete with piano, voice and in one piece digital backing of drums, bass, keyboards.

2> Jazz Piano CD: August Ocean Overture completed: Release date: in October or sooner

Therefore, I am adding at least 2-3 of these songs to my purely solo piano release I mentioned called: “August Ocean Overture”. Eventually I envision two CDs, one instrumental, one vocal songs; the reality check is the cost. Though I can easily record and burn two, it takes time and money to market and publish, so I’m better off with one, but this is the plan:

I will push ahead with my song demo CD titled: “Across the Sea of Madness” as I record more vocals.

3> mp3 CD to have tracks posted at sites like: Soundclick, Lulu

To save $ I will release the piano album as an mp3 CD: IF, the mp3’s do justice to the piano recording. The fact is that mp3’s are fine with rock and electric, but lack quality when reproducing a real piano. Rather than wait for all the time and expense of marketing through the commercial sites, (which usually don’t do much for promoting jazz and instrumental) I will try this. In this way I hope to reserved money and time to keep recording my song demo “Across the Sea….”

4.> Poetry/song booklet: “Across the Sea of Madness” is finished

Most important to those here at AD: I will release ASAP my accompanying song booklet: “Across the Sea of Madness” so that I can promote it, and have booklets to give at upcoming playing dates around Florida in October through the winter.

I will be playing in Ocala city area, Daytona Beach and Deland Florida this winter season in a few clubs I have contacted. I need the materials to have on display.

QUESTION: anyone here at AD know a reasonable POD publisher who will pubish color inserts in booklet format at a reasonable cost? My booklet has color photos that I hate to exclude at places like Lulu. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks for reading.
