Where do you write?

After years of writing in what I lovingly refer to as the "dungeon", I am now relocated to a better part of my house, complete with new desk and monitor. The atmosphere is relaxing (I'm in my newly decorated bedroom). I have a cinnamon candle burning, soft music playing and a window to look out when I need inspiration.
The "dungeon", where I have been trying to write for the past five or six years was a room in our basement that was beside my laundry room, which was also home to our cat's litterbox. The noises and smells emananting from that room were such that I would often end up playing video games on my computer (rather than writing), because I felt so oppressed. On top of that the "dungeon" was home to our freezer, mini-fridge and numerous boxes, pet toys and other odds and ends that left me little room to move much less write. Hopefully, the move upstairs will inspire me to finish the three manuscripts I've been avoiding like the plague for the last month.
Which brings me to my question - Where do you write? Do you have an old-fashioned rolltop desk or just a laptop? What are your surroundings like? Are you in a "dungeon" like I was, or do you overlook a beautiful inspiring setting? I'd really like to know!
