Whirlwind 4 Day Book Signing tour
I just returned from a 4 day book signing tour in the Oakland, Fremont area. It was sponsored through booklockerbooks.com. The best part of the tour was going into the schools and speaking directly to the students about my book.
I also got to encourage the students about how important reading and writing are. In the high school level I spoke to the students about e books. I told them they could start writing them now. The class came from all walks of life. If anybody felt they had any knowledge about a particular subject in which the public would pay money for, go for it. Learn how to throw up a website and post your e books and start making money now.
All in all it was a great success. I met two other authors Lynette Pierce who wrote the Heart series. This is a 3 book series of romance, mystery and adventure. I read the first book and I can not wait until I finish the series.
Cara Elness is the owner of booklockerbooks.com. She has a great creative way to sell books. She puts used books into various types of business and restaurants. In this way everybody wins. The customer keeps coming back for more and more books to read and greatly reduced prices. Cara sells her books and does not have the overhead of a bookstore to maintain.
I always say, the best way to sell a book is not in a book store. Too much competition.
