Government Take Overs

Good, bad or necessary?
So much conservative/Republican/Right Wing consternation about our government geting involved in running the Wall Street financial entities and Auto manufacturers businesses. It's being twisted around in those circles to strike the fear that a tidal wave of socialism will flood and wash out American capitalism.
Would a fair minded person, not bent on the destruction of a presidency by implying such dogma,stop for a moment, take a deep breath and realize that the capitalist system that we all love had run amuck on Wall Street and in the Auto industry? A tidle wave impacting the economy of the United States resulted.
Something had to be done to stem that impact. Some would say,'Let the banks fail.' or 'let the auto makers go under.' The United States government under the leadership of the president acted to save jobs and foreclosures... conditions brought on by greed and poor management in those private sectors.
Let's not twist those government corrective actions around to imply that it's a presidential thrust to develope socialism when in fact it was our government's move to save a capitalist system in trouble.
