Life Lessons For Little Ones

Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life. I had the dog behaviorist come out to see Tucker. He had some issues that had come up that really needed addressed if he was going to live with us. She came in and he would not let her move from the end of the bar in our kitchen. He barked off and on at her for an hour. She could not even work with him and suggested that we put him to sleep. He is not safe to have around. He has fear aggression and some kind of guarding instinct that is genetic. It was heartbreaking to hear, but know that it is the right thing to do to keep everybody safe.
I took him today and I don't think that he would have made it another two weeks without biting my son or I. He growled at the girls working at the vets office. It is unreal that a dog that is so beautiful and can be the best dog 99% of the time can be so scary and dangerous to live with that small percent that is left. I will write a tribute later for my sweet baby with fur. Lori
