Our daughter started college full time last Thursday. She had to drop off some pop for the kids at her church the other day. She went in and did what she had to do and went out the door. She then turned around to go and talk to their pastor. Well she ended up talking to a lady that works at her church in the office instead. She was explaining to the lady what was going on and how she didn't know what she should do about finding a job, because she was not sure that was what God had wanted her to do.
The woman asked her if she was dead set on living alone. Our daughter told her that she didn't have a choice. A friend of hers had called to see if she could come and live with her and Kara said YES, but after she had talked with her mother she told her that she couldn't.
The woman said to our daughter that she could come and live with them in their spare bedroom. She goes to her church and she sort of knew her a little. Her lease is up in Sept. so after that she will be moving into their house. Now she tells me she needs a job before Sept. 6th. She will not have to pay rent, only help with some of the food cost which will be great for her. Now if she can find a job that will pay a little better so that she will not have to work alot of hours, she will be all set.
I am so greatful that God has put her in a place where people will look out after her if she needs something unexpected. She loves her classes so far and thinks she will be able to do all of this just fine.
Yesterday I went to my first therapy session, hoping not to have surgery on my ankle. My foot looks so much better all ready. The therapist took a tool and scraped the skin on my ankle to get rid of the scar tissue built up from that injury in a fall a couple of years ago. She does not think I will have to have surgery either. I just have exercises to do. I have to go twice a week for three weeks and then they will see if can just do them at home.
I started my diet last Friday and have lost five pounds already. I did not lose any today, but I look thinner today. I cannot believe how easy this is. I wish I had found this years ago.
