NOTES? 5/7/2009 9:05:22 AM Natural Orifices Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery. A mouthful!!! It means operating through natural body openings. These include the vagina, rectum, stomach, urinary tubes. And they're all full of bacteria for a starter. All of these new operations are experimental and there are no studies to prove their worth. Got to wonder who's being offered these 'fantastic advances in surgery'. Be careful if you go there.
