The Ballad of Billy Lee
December 10, 2006
Start Time: 2:30PM Location: Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort, 633 E. Cabrillo Blvd., Santa Barbara
Information: 800.929.2906
Admission: $15 - $20

Len Lamensdorf presents the first public reading of his new play "The Ballad of Billy Lee".

Synopsis: "Billy Lee was an African-American slave who served as George Washington’s valet, and was, in fact, his closest companion in war and peace. Eighteen years younger than Washington, Billy Lee was a superb horseman, a bold soldier and literate aide. This one-man show is a work in progress and will bring focus to Billy Lee who has been all but forgotten in the history books. Audience is invited to stay after the show to discuss it with the playwright and actor Henry Brown."
