The Numbers Game
3/11/2009 7:17:49 PM

Men are often influenced into decisions in their lives because of the MAJORITY. But being with the majority does not make any cause RIGHT, and like the multitude of pigs in Matthew 8:30, all ran to their death.

Social networks on the internet are good sites for keeping in touch with friends and family, particularly if socializing is not possible because of distance. I joined Facebook because of many friends and family there, we exchange messages and keep track of goings on in our lives. Recently, a young woman in her high school years commented on a post that supports a known politician and her words were inappropriate and offensive, using such words as "Shit!" and "bitches". I posted a comment telling her it offended me and can she make her point without using vulgar street language. She wrote back and said she was sorry, "but that was the way most young people her age speak."

It made me think that young people today develop insensitivity to WRONG because the majority does it. Most of our youth today attend parties and gigs, and majority of their peers use drugs. Let's face it. This happens today and if our children have no firm foundation of what is right or wrong, WHAT THE MAJORITY OUT THERE IS DOING WILL SEEM RIGHT TO THEM.

The "majority is right" misconception has produced government leaders all over the world who wallow in "normal" drug sniffs and sex, products of the 60's. Look at how it has corrupted the whole world, Hollywood, our schools, our military, our government, even the church.
In a few years, these young people will be the leaders and citizens of the world, woe to us who failed to speak out against "the majority".
Numbers never made wrong...right.
