If God leads you to it, He will walk you through it!
I consider myself to be a rather intelligent person--not brilliant by any stretch, but simply smart. The past couple of weeks, however, I've been led to feel as if I was as 'dumb as a brick.' It all began when I was called into a temporary assignment; processing income tax returns for the IRS.

Keep in mind that the people that you are working for are acting 'under the gun' because they're working against a deadline themselves. Because of their pressure, they constantly 'holler out' instructions to a sea of people that are processing paperwork. Some of the table leads absolutely loved to bring work back to you and then spue unnecessary critical words your way. I'm not one to make the same mistakes over. Once I make an error, I learn from the mistake and never do that again. However, this job was different. I kept making the same mistake over and over! I couldn't figure it out!

Then I realized that I've never been pushed that way before either. They constantly badgered you for quantity and accuracy. It was the most intimidating experience I've ever endured. And I did endure... to the end. I was so thankful on Thursday evening when the temporary agency that I was working for came by and handed me my check from the week before telling me that it was over.

This was a hallelujah moment for me! My husband called my cell phone as I was traveling home and I eagerly said to him, "I feel like I just got out of prison!" I was sooooo excited to be out of there! I was criticized, beat up and badgered for the last time. Of course I beat myself up for not being able to meet their expectations as well. All in all, it was a harrowing two weeks.

Then on Friday morning, I opened God's word to this message... 'For God is pleased with you when for the sake of your conscience, you patiently endure unfair treatment. 1 Peter 2:19

Tears filled my eyes as I realized that God approved of my actions and reactions whether man did or not. I was exactly where He wanted me to be for such a time as that. In looking back I'm thankful for the experience, realizing once again, that if God leads you to it, He will walk you through it!
