Owning a Business, Bar
12/6/2011 11:13:12 PM    [ Flag as Inappropriate ]

Janice, ahhrg! Janice is a lady who gets hyper when a good conversation gets going. She is outgoing and she speaks her mind of.
One night, when I was concentrating on my computer, I overheard what Janice, Dave and Mike were talking about. Dave was saying that Janice should go into business for herself because she was a good bar manager. She knew what she was doing and that was good enough to start her off. Janice, being Janice burst out saying that being a good bar manager was not enough. There was more to it than just serving drinks and knowing how to run a bar. But running a business was different. In order to know how to run a business, she needed to go to business school and learn the ropes.
She added, “I am not just going to ask for a loan of $150,000. I could not sashay into the bank and hustle and dance asking the banker for the money. What I needed was a solid business plan, a good location; and the business plan should have a feel of the business. The bank should have knowledge of the business.”
So, how can she do it? She certainly knows how to run a bar, but as for the other part well…Dave and Mike tried to calm Janice down. After all, Dave’s point was that Janice was a talented young lady. Isn’t she? He even said, “You have a potential and don’t give up.”
Janice said that she wasn’t ready. She even can’t use a computer. Being a bartender is alright because currently, she could wake up late and after all, she was not prepared to take on the challenges of running a business. Then after some thought, she told Mike and Dave that she wanted to be an assistant to the assistant dental hygenist' assistant; or that she wanted to be an actor or a legal assistant. She looked into those professions before. Then she concluded that perhaps a private investigator will do…or a ninja.
