RE: Obama's Presidential Proclamation- Gay/Lesbian pride month 2012 6/7/2012 11:19:06 PM
I HAVE A DREAM.... (Or a nightmare!)
I think that Dr. MLK would roll over in his grave if he had to confront Mr. Obama. He, (MLK)being I believe a true Christian, and not just a man with an agenda, would no doubt reflect back to the kings in leadership in the Old Testament times. You may recall that King Zedekiah was an evil ruler over God’s people and was their last king. After he and God’s people were captured and carted off as slaves and servants to Babylon, they would have no more earthly kings. (I wonder what would have happened if enough “good (Godly) men” had risen up in protest? Would they have been carried off to Babylon? FOOD FOR THOUGHT!)
The Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar; also “had a dream”. Yes, this evil king had a dream..... but he forgot it (sound familiar?) (All Americans also should have a dream, just as our constitutional forefathers had. Even as they scattered their life’s blood; they prayers and their tears! Should we be willing to do less? America has “forgotten a dream” and forgotten GOD! BTW... How would you feel; if sharing a foxhole with most of our “citizenry” today?)
Back to the dream. Only Daniel was able to tell the king the answer to his questions about the forgotten dream; and also its meaning. Wow!
The dream described a statue that was representative of the many successive kingdoms of the earth. The image (statue) was like a man, with shoulders, arms, body, legs, and feet. The head appeared to be made of gold, the arms and chest of silver, the stomach and hips of brass, and the legs of iron. The feet were made of a mixture of iron and clay. Then Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream, a big stone separate itself from the side of a mountain, and the stone fell on the feet of the statue, causing it to fall and break in pieces. The wind blew the pieces away. Then the most peculiar thing occurred. That stone which fell on the feet of the statue began to grow, and it grew until it was so large that it filled the whole earth. (All of these “sudo-kingdoms”, were phony, self serving and/or evil.) The true “King Of Kings” (Jesus Christ) is represented as a powerful stone; which crushes the kingdoms of the world!
This “tried stone” is soon to arrive! Saints of God, keep your “lamps filled with oil” for the coming midnight cry will soon be sounded! As was stated, “God is not mocked”! He will not/can not allow the evil to go on endlessly! I “personally” feel that the USA as a whole has quite possibly blasphemed the Holy Spirit and has perhaps, as a nation, already committed the “unpardonable sin”! The acts of 9/11 were to be a wake-up call, as were/are the signs in the earth and sky! The wake-up did briefly seem to occur, but was short lived and insincere! Just as Nebuchadnezzar honored the mighty God of Daniel for a time, his “lip service” was short lived.
A DREAM OR A NIGHTMARE....
Nebuchadnezzar had another dream! It’s prophetic fulfillment was completed in his own lifetime; and it was awesome! Nebuchadnezzar became puffed up in his own eyes and totally discounted the fact that only God allows earthly king/kingdoms to prosper or fail. This mighty earthly king, actually became an animal living in the field with the oxen! God told him that he would lose his mind and would go out in the field and eat grass just like the cattle for seven years. And Nebuchadnezzar actually did just that!. Can you imagine a mighty king, as he thought himself to be, crawling around on the ground eating grass? The Bible tells us that his hair grew long and coarse and looked like bird feathers, and his fingernails became like the claws of animals. WOW!
Is this pitiful state of the union the last straw? God only knows where the hands of the prophetic clock are set at this moment, but now is the time for us as a nation and as individuals to fall upon our knees as never before! Perhaps.... He will again honor the scripture.... “ If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” 2 Chronicles 7:14
Finally.... Nebuchadnezzar's reason returned to him, and when he found out what he had done he was very much ashamed and he learned by this experience that he was not as wise and powerful as he had thought. Learning this, he gave praise to God for allowing him to be the ruler.
I pray that America will awaken from it’s current Ungodly Insanity! Notwithstanding, as an old hymn of the church states... “I am determined to hold out to the end! Jesus is with me, upon Him I can depend!”
More importantly... “Even so come quickly Lord Jesus”!

Bob, God says He won't be mocked (Gal. 6:7). I know He is slow to anger. He took care of this disease once before in Sodom & Gomorrah. From our simple minds, this kind of behavior attracts more and more young people especially in their formative years until the evil is all consuming, especially now that it is encouraged by the president of the United States of America. I expect that God already knows what He is gona do. I think Obama has exceeded most Kings in the Old Testament as being the worst of the worst. What is your take on this and is God expecting us to do something other than complain? He handled the last problem by Himself. If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psalms 11:3) Lots of people want to hear the answer from Preacher Bobby Greer, a great author and person I look up to.
Let me know.
thanks,
Howard

Presidential Proclamation: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month, 2012
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month, 2012
By The President Of The United States Of America
A Proclamation
From generation to generation, ordinary Americans have led a proud and inexorable march toward freedom, fairness, and full equality under the law ‑‑ not just for some, but for all. Ours is a heritage forged by those who organized, agitated, and advocated for change; who wielded love stronger than hate and hope more powerful than insult or injury; who fought to build for themselves and their families a Nation where no one is a second-class citizen, no one is denied basic rights, and all of us are free to live and love as we see fit.
The lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community has written a proud chapter in this fundamentally American story. From brave men and women who came out and spoke out, to union and faith leaders who rallied for equality, to activists and advocates who challenged unjust laws and marched on Washington, LGBT Americans and allies have achieved what once seemed inconceivable. This month, we reflect on their enduring legacy, celebrate the movement that has made progress possible, and recommit to securing the fullest blessings of freedom for all Americans.
Since I took office, my Administration has worked to broaden opportunity, advance equality, and level the playing field for LGBT people and communities. We have fought to secure justice for all under the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr., Hate Crimes Prevention Act, and we have taken action to end housing discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. We expanded hospital visitation rights for LGBT patients and their loved ones, and under the Affordable Care Act, we ensured that insurance companies will no longer be able to deny coverage to someone just because they are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender. Because we understand that LGBT rights are human rights, we continue to engage with the international community in promoting and protecting the rights of LGBT persons around the world. Because we repealed "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," gay, lesbian, and bisexual Americans can serve their country openly, honestly, and without fear of losing their jobs because of whom they love. And because we must treat others the way we want to be treated, I personally believe in marriage equality for same-sex couples.
More remains to be done to ensure every single American is treated equally, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Moving forward, my Administration will continue its work to advance the rights of LGBT Americans. This month, as we reflect on how far we have come and how far we have yet to go, let us recall that the progress we have made is built on the words and deeds of ordinary Americans. Let us pay tribute to those who came before us, and those who continue their work today; and let us rededicate ourselves to a task that is unending ‑‑ the pursuit of a Nation where all are equal, and all have the full and unfettered opportunity to pursue happiness and live openly and freely.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim June 2012 as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month. I call upon the people of the United States to eliminate prejudice everywhere it exists, and to celebrate the great diversity of the American people.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this first day of June, in the year of our Lord two thousand twelve, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-sixth.
BARACK OBAMA
