Happy Birthday, USA 7/3/2012 6:44:24 AM Tomorrow is America's Birthday. She's 236 years old, still quite young for a country. In my estimation, America is the greatest country ever created. Why do I believe that? We are blessed to live in a nation where people are free to say and do what they please. Imagine living in oppressed countries like Cuba, where everything in life is controlled by the government. Every person in the country relies on the government for simple things like clothes, or food. Here, we have the opportunity to grow our food, or make our clothes, if that's our desire. We can have dreams and realize them. We are the masters of our destiny. Anything is possible if you work hard to achieve your goals. Americans have started businesses, created amazing inventions, designed clothes, found cures for disease. There is no end to what Americans can achieve.
I hope tomorrow you are fortunate enough to spend time with your family and friends. But while you're enjoying their company, reflect on the blessings you enjoy as an American.
