Hummingbirds

We have many hummingbirds this year and there are a lot of young ones. There are three that must have been born around the same time and they delight us with their air acrobatic dancing. They appear to cling together and spiral up and down through the air.
This is unusual. It is more usual to see them slapping at one another--as one goes to the bird feeder, another usually comes along and slaps the first one away. The youngsters this year seem to just delight in playing and dancing with just a little slapping.
At the present time, there is lots of jewel weed in bloom along with evening primrose. The hummingbirds feed from the orange jewel weed or touch-me-not as well as the yellow evening primrose flowers.
When the evening primrose flowers turn to seed, the gold finches will take their turn to visit these plants in order to eat the seeds.
I don't think any of the birds or animals eat the jewel weed for as its alternate name suggests, as soon as the seed pod is touched it springs open and the seeds fly out. Hence the name "touch-me-not".
Surprisingly, since there has been little rain this year, the blackberries are giving a good harvest. However, as there is little else for the animals to eat, they are disappearing quite quickly--I think the chipmunks are taking them for their winter supply.
God, through nature, is supplying the harvest for the animals and birds.
