Why Thursdays are special for me.
Today we woke up to gorgeous Spring weather. Thursday is my day for line dancing. I have been doing this exercise ever since 2003. Women mostly attend the class. They range in age from late forties to mid eighties. They are a lovely bunch of women. We don't the dancing seriously: we comfortable clothes and no cowboy boots or hat.

Our teacher is wonderful: she is one year younger than I and has a great sense of humour and is very patient with us when she she teaches us a new dance. Afterwards most of the group go over the road for coffee. In Winter soup is provided. Over the years the establishment has had numerous name changes - the latest is Mathers House. It is run by our local city council.

On Thursdays we can have free checks of blood pressure, cholesterol and sugar levels. My checks regarding the first two weren't so good so I decided to walk to North Hobart for more exercise. On the way I popped into a specialty shop and bought lovely fresh apples. It was a pleasure walking around the city and looking at the gorgeous 19th Century buildings that are well maintained.

On arriving home I felt so virtuous that I indulged in munching two Anzac biscuits after a leisurely lunch. Tonight we are eating at Don Camillo's Restaurant. Our daughter and her family will be joining us.Unfortunately my husband is ill. He saw his doctor yesterday who said he had Rhine River Virus. That is a new one to me. At the moment he is resting in the hope he will be well enough to attend tonight's dinner.
