Dear Christine,

Thank you for the tea!

I feel some of the best instructors are canned in a minute because of unprofessional politics. Well, at least your favorite instructor influenced you to become what you are now. I am happy for that! Thank you again for sharing. See you next time.

Peace, love and blessings,

John Michael

"They looked for what was right in people and emphasized those qualities, not what was wrong."

This, I believe, is the lesson we should all take from this... How often do each of us dwell on the negative instead of the positive...insisting others are wrong and we are the victims of their wrongs...

Well said,
Cryssa :)

I do not know of Ben Zander and my closest brush with music greatness was watching Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops play at Stanford many years ago.

Your blog reminds me of the many teacher/mentors I had during my studies. The best didn't play by the "rules." It's a shame that today's rush to political correctness convicts risk takers by association.

Our past can haunt us fair or not, many lessons should be learned in your story, some things are paid for life and not just time. More tea please :)

Sex offenders rarely can be reformed. I'm not saying this one wasn't. The Joe Paterno situation seems different from this, Paterno knew of acts against young children, it was reported to him and he didn't do was was necessary to stop it. I'm sorry this hero of yours was dismissed for hiring a convicted sexual predator, because it was possible that he had fought those primitive urges and won.
