Thanks for the comments. Several years ago, I had a sergeant threaten suicide. He walked away while I sat there remembering Ricky’s own death. I stood up and told our boss. About an hour later our boss caught up with him and prevented him from jumping to his death. A few years later, he told me I saved his life.
Such a sad waste of a little boy's life. Although, it is not in vain because you have kept his spirit alive with your ability to see what is and set it out there for others to learn from.
I recently read an article on 'Indigo Children'. I feel there were maybe elements of this in young Ricky. His view of our world was so clear and so much more perceptive than most boys of his age. He was absolutely right. If only every one of us would admit our part in the deterioration of our planet, we could put it right so easily.
Ricky has made a huge impression on me and I, for one, support his ideal whole-heartedly.
Good post, Arthur, thanks.
