"That's What I Think"

I lost my home to Katrina. Ultimately it worked out well for me, as opportunities presented themselves which never would have made their way into the equation without the storm doing what it did.
However, I was pretty bummed for a few months in the immediate aftermath over losing my new home --- which did not have flood insurance (I had been under the impression homeowner's insurance covered flooding - we all were) --- to the dirty floodwaters.
Seeing all the dead trees and plant-life was among the more difficult sights upon my (brief) return to the city to clean out the second floor of the home, which was largely unaffected but contained little that was of any real importance to me.
