Karen this is a marvelous piece of historical information that helps me relate a part of my family's history. In 1781 members of my family moved from lower Delaware to what is now Monongalia County West Virginia. They settled in Buffalo Springs. Indian attacks were still common place at that time. In 1786 just a short distance from their log cabin Indians massacred a family. I thank you for helping to relate what historical events were also transpiring at that time.
