FEBRUARY IS BLACK HISTORY MONTH
This year we are composing and compiling a new book.
You can be part of it -- if you wish.
YOU CAN GET YOUR STORY OR ESSAY PUBLISHED
IN OUR UPCOMING COLLECTION OF
"LITTLE KNOWN BLACK HISTORY STORIES & FACTS"
Here is how it works:
We are seeking to publish essays and stories about interesting
facts from African-American (Black) History
....particularly emphasizing the lesser known SIGNIFICANT information.
IF YOU WISH TO SUBMIT SOMETHING... Here are the terms---
a) Compose up to 3 typed pages on a topic of your choice from the huge legacy of AFRICAN AND AFRICAN-AMERICAN HISTORY.
Give your own ESSAY a Title....
It must be your own original work. Do not copy an article or story
written by someone else, unless it is a "quote" within your story.
Give references and footnotes as to source of your information.
You must include as much in the way of accurate facts, dates, times,
names, and historical references as you can.
YOU CAN WRITE ABOUT ANY BLACK INVENTOR, AUTHOR, EDUCATOR, ENTREPRENUER, EXPLORER, POLITICIAN, ANCIENT EGYPTIAN, BIBLICAL PERSON, SCIENTIST,
PRE-SLAVERY AFRICA, AFRICAN HEROES, CIVIL RIGHTS LEADERS, ANCIENT MYSTICAL SECRETS ---
...OR
ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN SUBSTANTIATE WITH FACTS.
or
YOU CAN WRITE ABOUT ISSUES...such as --
" My Favorite African-American Millionaire "
" Why Schools Should Offer Multi-Cultural Studies"
" A Woman Who Helped Improve Race Relations."
" What life was really like on a Plantation during Slavery."
" How White People Can Benefit from Studying Black History"
" WHY I ADMIRE Rosa Parks and the Bus Boycott Organizers."
...(or any topic you choose)
b) Include a section or 2 in your essay about why you selected this
particular topic -- THE LEADERS AND ACHIEVERS INVOLVED, why is it important to the development of civilization,
why the achiever helped society, how it effected you, -- etc.
c) If you have some pictures (jpeg) which help illustrate your essay, insert it into the ESSAY file.
d) You can add up to one brief paragraph of a bio on yourself--
WHO ARE YOU, WHAT IS YOUR OCCUPATION, BUSINESS OR EXPERTISE. At the end, include your FULL NAME, ADDRESS, EMAIL, and website.
e) SUBMIT your completed ESSAY on a WORD DOC FILE to us.
Please have someone proof-read your essay before submitting it. Our editors will only do minor editing, such as correcting 'typos.'
IF YOUR ESSAY IS REASONABLY WELL WRITTEN AND FACTUAL, PRESENTABLE AS A PUBLISHED ARTICLE, WE WILL PUBLISH IT.
PLUS WE WILL ENTER YOUR NAME IN OUR DRAWING POOL TO WIN FREE BOOKS AND OTHER FREE GIFTS.
There are NO FEES to enter or to be published.
Likewise -- we are not paying any "royalties" to writers.
It is a great opportunity to expose your skills and your business.

HERE IS A BRIEF EXAMPLE:
Massive sculptures of the heads of typical Negritic Africans were carved in the region of South Mexico where the Olmec civilization flourished. Some of these massive heads of basalt contain the cornrow hairstyle common among West African Blacks, as well as the kinky coiled hair common among at least 70 percent of all Negritic people, (the other proportion being the Dravidian Black race of India and the Black Australoids ofAustralia and South Asia).

THE OLMECS WERE THE ORIGINAL MAYANS AND AZTECS
Mexican folk remedies emanate from the ancient Olmecs. The Mexican culture has at its base the botanical and agricultural advancements of the Aztecs and Mayans, with contributions by the Olmecs.
Prior to the colonization of Jamestown in 1607, the native people of Mexico had established medical institutions that practiced traditional medicines with over 5,000 native herbal remedies. These remedies are recorded in the Badiano Codex of 1552. The “curandero” became the Mexican health expert who used natural treatments.
