Please join me and several writers, artists, survivors and other women who seek healing and seek to facilitate healing as we share experiences and views in the significant series:  Women artists / Women Healing: Multicultural Artistic Narratives of Trauma & Survival.  The weekly series (Each Tuesday in March) is free and open to the public.   While all dates and events are significant, please note my participation on TUESDAY: March 17, 2009, 6-9 pm in Intimate Betrayal: Voices  of Survival.  The full schedule is printed below.    The event is open to all, women and men, who would care to join in the dialogue.   Read on for more info...

You are cordially invited to be our guest Tuesday evenings in March as we present Women Artists/Women Healing: Multicultural Artistic Narratives of Trauma and Survival.
 
 
 
Join us and interact with the artists, performers and panelists to learn how lives are transformed through artistic, creative and personal expressions.

This five-part narrative series features literary readings, performances, exhibitions and facilitated discussions exploring the many dimensions of women's experiences of trauma and survival, in celebration of Women's History Month.
 
Hosted at CentroNía's 'La Plaza,' 1420 Columbia Road, NW, Washington, DC 20009 on the 2nd floor, each program begins at 6pm with a light reception, art exhibit and performance, followed by a facilitated panel discussion at 6:45pm.

Women Artists/Women Healing: Multicultural Artistic Narratives of Trauma and Survival is a five-part narrative series featuring literary readings, performances, exhibitions and facilitated discussions exploring the many dimensions of women's experiences of trauma and survival.
 
Gathering women artists, healers, veterans, and survivors from across cultures and disciplines, the series showcases the resiliency and expression of the human spirit, seen through the lens of female artists and speakers.

Produced by Elizabeth Bruce and Associate Producers Alivia Tagliaferri and Timothea Howard, the mission of this powerful series is to give voice to women's resilience and survival, validate and build upon the healing capacity of the creative process and the collective experience of support and community.
