The legendary Rhett Palmer, Mayor of the airwaves of WAXE 1370am in Vero Beach, Florida, is interviewing Carl David regarding his latest book, Bader Field, and the powerful story of how he and his family endured and survived the shocking suicide Carl's brother Bruce.
David is on a mission to make sure his story is told far and wide so that anyone in such a state of last minute desperation will see that there is always another way, another solution to their problems, that there is help and love for them, that they are not alone.
David feels that if he can even save one life, then his years of struggle through darkness will have been paid forward and transmitted into something of benefit for others. He cannot just stand by. He wants to reach out to middle and high school level kids as well as college students and young adults.
Suicide is serious and much more widespread than anyone realizes. For lack of exposure and fear of the stigma of shame, it has been for too long been quieted. But that is over, the world needs to address this horrific act and David will not rest as he now knows his purpose and his role, having lived it, bearing the scars of a wound that never heals.
